So for after the Ceremony in Mexico, we're content on having just a nice dinner after the ceremony with a private menu and then we're hitting the Disco to party.Formal attire and all. We too are having somewhat of a reception here because undoubtably there will be many guests who will not be able to attend our ceremony in Mexico.since our guest list is 200 people.and we're only expecting around 20 for Mexico. After the week, all of our guest will return home and we will be transfering to Secrets Excellence for our honeymoon. So hopefully, your guests' stays correspond with that. The wedding will be on the Thursday, July 7th, which is the soonest we can get married.be aware that you must be at most resorts THREE days before you can get hitched.those three days DO NOT include Saturday or Sunday, must be three business days. As for us, we are all leaving on the 3rd of July with our guests (small group-20 max) and will be staying at the Palladium for a week. I'm sure it will be amazing no matter what resort you chose. Hey M&G, Congratulations on the upcoming Wedding. That may sound ridiculous since it's an AI, however I looked into the Moon Palace and they were going to charge $47 per person! Hope that helps, if you have more questions feel free to ask! The dinner cost is $17/person if you have more than 10 people so be aware of that. The wedding package is $1400 (we are paying an additional $300 for a minister to bless the ceremony), that includes brides flowers, set-up, documents, cake, champagne, flowers, and flowers for table at reception. When you are ready to book, just e-mail the wedding coordinators (the address is at ), and you will just need to fax a confirmation with a credit card number, it doesn't cost anything up front to book it. However, I didn't hear anything as far as a time limit. The cake is included in the package so you should be able to do that there as well. We are just eating at one of the restaurants and there will be about 45 of us. There is a "disco" where I've heard other brides have went with their groups for some fun after dinner. so we were fine with just having a dinner. Hey! Well, we are having a reception back home with food, music, dancing, etc. Kind of what you would do if you where to have a big wedding & not go away. So we could eat, have cake and maybe have some live music for dancing. We will only have about 25 to 30 people with us, but I would like to have a place for about 3hrs. How do things work as far as a reception at the resort? I have been reading some of these forums & it only seems like they give you 1hr. How long are your guests staying at the resort? I am pretty sure we are going with 4 nights & 5 days for our guests. I am trying a couple different travel agents to see who can give me the best price. I will probably go with Paraiso Lindo because the price seems better. I am really between Iberostar Paraiso Maya & Lindo. We picked when, and we still have to narrow down where the wedding will take place. ![]() I am only in the beginning stages of everything now. I was wondering if you could tell me some information on how things work. That's about right on par with most of the rest of the resorts in this calibre that offer wedding packages. ![]() I'm not sure what they charge at the Iberostars for a Wedding, but at Palladium the costs run from about $1250-$1600 USD.more if you opt for a lot of the extras. I've been in frequent contact with the wedding coordinator at Palladium and so far everything has been planned and has been a breeze. It's a 41/2 star, just doesn't have all of those special perks that a 5+star has like room service etc. This way, we're keeping the budget in check for our guests but also having some luxury the following week for ourselves.ĭon't get me wrong, Palladium is great too. We'll be at the Palladium that week with our guests and then opted to go all out the second week on our honeymoon (Secrets Excellence). We have opted to have our wedding at the Grand Palladium, which is a great resort also and the quotes were cheaper for packages. We looked into getting married at one of the Iberstars also, but the vacation package prices they were offering would have been over the budget for some of our guests.
